Booth Photographic Ltd. presents Shoot It Right, a full-day, educational photographic and lighting seminar tour, lead by Photo Life contributor, The Studio Coach, Jean-François O’Kane. Each seminar will walk participants through the latest shooting techniques as well as the entire work-flow process from set-up and capture to manipulation and final product showcase. The Native Plant Society of Saskatchewan will be hosting an outdoor photography work­shop featuring professional photographer and biologist Chris Hendrickson at Saskatoon Natural Grassland area on Central Avenue, just north of the Regional Psychiatric Centre on August 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. Chris has experience with many different subjects and styles, with work that ranges from weddings to stock pho­tography. However, he is particularly known for his polar bear photos, resulting from leading sightseeing tours near Churchill, Man., for the past several years. The Prairie Region of CAPA in conjunction with the Saskatoon Camera Club, will be conducting the CAPA Judging Course in Saskatoon on June 27 and June 28, 2009. Saturday June 27 will be a full day with Sunday June 28, 2009 being a half day for certification of CAPA Judges. The course fee is $65.00. The Saskatoon Camera Club will be subsidizing the fee by $30.00. Therefore your cost for this Course will be $35.00. This is an excellent course and will provide you with the information you may require to assist the Club with its Judging requirements. You will also receive a comprehensive Judging Manual during the course. The executive are looking forward to your participation. Space is limited, so register early.
