Photography · Community · Creativity Join Saskatoon Photography Club for the Canadian Association for Photographic Art’s 2026 Coast to Coast Photo Walk. On September 19, photographers across Canada will head out to capture the beauty, diversity and spirit of our country — and we hope you’ll join us in Saskatoon. Meet us at the Saskatoon Weir Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 Start: 9:00 a.m. Saskatoon time Meeting point: Saskatoon Weir, Spadina Crescent East Who can join: Everyone — CAPA members, SPC members, guests, non-members and curious beginners Spend an hour, stay for the morning, or pack a lunch and plan for the day. Shoot at your own pace. A route through nature and the city This year’s outing brings together Saskatoon’s natural beauty and urban scenes in a loop that starts and ends at the weir: Start at the Saskatoon Weir on Spadina Crescent East. Cross the CP train bridge to the east riverbank. Follow the east riverbank toward the Broadway Bridge. Cross the Broadway Bridge into downtown. Return along the west riverbank to the weir. There will be plenty to photograph along the way. Based on estimated walking times, we’ll likely stop for lunch in Rotary Park. Bring your camera — and a friend Whether you’re a seasoned photographer with a DSLR or mirrorless camera, or a hobbyist using a smartphone, you’re invited. Club members are encouraged to bring guests. Spread the word — the more the merrier! This growing CAPA annual tradition brings photographers together from coast to coast and everywhere in between. It’s a chance to explore your local community, take photos and connect with fellow photographers. Share the day’s photographs We hope to submit a selection of photographs from our group to CAPA after the walk. Some images may be showcased in the Winter issue of CAPA’s magazine, celebrating participation and photographic talent from across the country. Club contact and walk lead: Cathleen Mewis. Get ready to participate, shoot and share. See you there!
